Reception have been practicing their throwing and catching. They are getting really good!

Simone came in today to teach us how to stay safe on the roads.

Year 1 went out and about and learnt about where the best place is to cross the road and how to be seen in the dark.

Simone introduced the reception  and Hickling Hunnies to Bethany and Benjamin who told them,

• they should always hold hands with an adult when on or near the road.

they should always wear their seatbelt when travelling in a vehicle.

• they can be seen more easily by other road users by wearing bright and/or reflective items.

Will from Holkham Hall visited us this week. He told us all about the wildlife that can be seen there. He showed us pictures of a Partridge, a Spoonbill and a Marsh Harrier.

Can you remember why the bird is called a Spoonbill?

He also brought in some deer antlers. He said there were two types of deer at Holkham.Can you remember what they were?

Will finished with a quiz, asking questions about all the animals he had spoken about.

We welcomed Jo from the Dog's Trust into school today. She taught us all about how to look after and care for a dog.
