No one can say we don't brave the elements at Swallowtail Federation!
Despite the rain and soggy grass up to our ankles we had a super day on Wednesday at the Barn meeting up with friends and getting  the chance to improve our ball skills, learn street dance moves , play team games and those that were tall enough (Year One and Two) even got the chance to try archery with real arrows!
Take a look at some of the photos to get a flavour of the day and look out in the Yarmouth Mercury for a feature on the day.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO MRS MAYHEW FOR ORGANISING THE DAY, WE LOVED IT!!

Half term is here already and today we got in the holiday spirit wearing wigs to fund raise for Clic Sargent.

Have a great holiday everyone and see you all after the holiday .

Art was all about fruit, vegetables and healthy choices this week Year One and Two have made a delicious healthy meal using collage materials and have begun some lovely still life drawing after looking at art work from lots of other artists.

Well done to Jack who has gained his Golden Mile  certificate.

Friday 13 May 2016

Year One and Two have had a busy week with lots of creative writing, working on a collaborative poem with Miss Race and thinking about their memories of school. The poem still needs some finishing touches but will be on the next blog and we will publish some extracts from the Memoirs over the next few weeks.

Yesterday was a blustery day but Reception made the most of it and had loads of fun with the parachute.
Everyone went for a spin in the "Washing Machine" and tried not to get caught in the "Mouse Trap!"

Sunday 8 May 2016

Its been shape week this week and Reception have been shape hunting, building with shapes and even turning string into different 2 dimensional shapes

It wasn't easy making a circle!!

Year 1 and 2 have been using shape to think about designs for their sandwich packaging.

The lovely sunshine has given everyone a chance to improve their ball skills.
