Health week was always going to get our pulses racing and it certainly did!
We started off gently with yoga which was really relaxing and gave us lots of tips about how to be calm and chilled. Some of the moves were a little tricky to do but we gave it a really good try!!

The sun shone for us on Sports day and there were lots of friends and family to cheer us on All four teams gave it their all and after an energetic warm up the team games tested our throwing and catching skills. Everyone enjoyed the track races and tee shirts were covered with stickers by the end
Team Norwich City were the overall winners ,so very well done to them.
Thank you to Mrs Mayhew for organising the day, we loved it!

There was a great Karate session on Wednesday and Ben got to show us some of his skills. (He may be doing a repeat performance for the Leavers Assembly)

Miss Race has been helping us think about our healthy food choices and Reception have made some great posters all about keeping healthy.

All in all an exhausting but really fun week

What a Week !!

Well done to all our lovely year 1's who have done really well with their phonics this week.
We all travelled to Catfield on Thursday to watch a fantastic production of "The Railway Children" .
Thank you to Catfield for hosting this lovely treat.
Everyone was talking about it on the way back and there was lots of "re -enactments" going on at playtime. How could there only be 4 actors but so many characters??

Today we had our final LINK session of the year and thank goodness the rain stayed away as it was all based outside using natural materials.
We made nature crowns, tried tie- dying with natural dyes, made natural paintbrushes which proved to be very messy! There were woodland creatures to make and the den was re-built.

Best of all was the campfire where we cooked baked toffee apples and chocolate bananas.
Thanks to all our mums, dads, grandparents and lovely grown ups who came to help and support us. A special thank you to Berties dad for the den and Emily N's  Mum who was chief campfire watcher.

Last but not least a huge Happy Fathers Day to all our Dads

Welcome back everyone for the final half term of the year.
We got it off to a great start by visiting Easton and Otley College Farm.
There was so much to see and do and lots to remember when we got back to school.
The day started `with a look at all the animals. We saw sheep, chickens, highland cows, very noisy pigs, and dairy cows and calves that licked our fingers and were really curious.

After lunch we had a talk from Ruth and then we tried 4 activities. Felting with sheeps wool, making butter, grinding wheat and making rape seed oil. All these things we could try again back at school or home.

We celebrated the Queens 90th  birthday on Thursday with a scrummy picnic. Our friends at Hunnies and some of our families  joined us on the field and a very noisy time was had thanks to the blowers in our lunch bags!!
